Medad E-Commerce Platform
Web AppMore about Web Apps
A full-stack, bilingual e-commerce platform for a fashion retail brand selling across multiple Arab markets, with a customer storefront, complete admin panel, CMS, and marketing toolset — built with React and Node.js.

How we delivered it
The Challenge
Medad needed more than an off-the-shelf Shopify or WooCommerce setup could offer. The brand required a bilingual (Arabic/English) storefront that reflected their visual identity precisely, deep integration with XPay (an Egyptian payment gateway unsupported by major SaaS platforms), and full ownership of their CMS, analytics, and customer data to meet regional compliance expectations. They also needed a unified system to manage limited-time product drops, stock alert subscriptions, and push notification campaigns — features that would have required stitching together multiple paid third-party services with no coherent admin experience to tie them together.
Our Solution
- Bilingual storefront (AR/EN): Full right-to-left layout support; all UI text, routing, and content adapt dynamically per language preference.
- Multi-step checkout: Address entry, payment form, and order review in a guided flow with guest and authenticated cart merging.
- Real-time sync: Socket.IO triggers automatic data refetches when backend data changes — product drops, stock updates, and order statuses update live without a page reload.
- XPay payment integration: Full payment lifecycle including initiation, webhook handling, idempotency, retry logic, refunds, and environment switching.
- Product drop system: Admins schedule limited-time drops with countdown logic; customers subscribe to alerts and receive Web Push notifications the moment a drop goes live.
- Stock alert subscriptions: Out-of-stock products let customers register for push notifications, with automated dispatch when inventory is restocked.
- Full admin dashboard: Order management, product CRUD with image upload, category hierarchy, coupon management, and analytics charts — all in one panel.
- CMS with versioning: Site sections and content blocks (banners, testimonials, policies) are editable with draft/publish/archive workflow and version history.
The Outcome
Medad launched with a fully owned, production-deployed platform that handles the complete retail journey — from browsing and wishlisting to checkout, payment, and post-order notifications — without depending on any SaaS storefront. The brand manages their entire catalogue, CMS content, marketing drops, and customer communications from a single admin panel, while customer data stays within their own infrastructure. The platform supports real-time stock and drop events, multi-currency pricing across three regional markets (EGP, SAR, AED), and a bilingual interface that works correctly in both LTR and RTL layouts.
